Now if the spiritual laws keep you in Christ and they allow you to walk in God’s way. Then how are the natural laws enmity against God? We see that these laws are not subject to God’s spiritual laws, and neither will the person be allowed to perform. The person working in these laws will accomplish an end to the work, for as many that are of the work of the natural laws, they are under the curse.
The design of the natural laws was created for a purpose. We will find out this purpose in a moment. However, what is the natural laws? These are the seven natural laws. The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17) The Ten Commandments are known as “the Law,” “the Commandments,” and “the Schoolmaster.” According to the Scripture, the Law was designed to reprove humanity in sin, correct us in our iniquity, and show society that we need redemption through a messiah.
The Levitical and Sabbatical laws (Exodus chapters 21-31, Leviticus chapters 1-26) will show us that we can never serve God without obeying and sacrificing to God daily, nor walk in his rest. There are over six hundred and thirteen minor laws. And we can’t keep one without Christ Jesus’ power and his anointing!
Then there is the law of progression (Deuteronomy chapter 28) that if we obey God, we will be blessed, and we have life, and if we disobey him, we are cursed, and we have death. The law of reciprocity (the law of sowing and reaping [Genesis 8:22]) shows that if we sow to our flesh, we will reap the whirlwind of destruction, or if we sow righteous seeds will have true eternal wealth in Christ Jesus.
Then there are the laws of nature and physics (Isaiah 40:12; Job chapter 38-41), which this law governs how nature and laws of physics move everything we see and don’t see. Also, nature, the natural and physical realm, groans to know the power of God in the race of man. However, if we fail, the subsequent law protects humanity from destroying itself.
The laws of authority and government balance humanity by not allowing our destruction. This law also shows us how we are never to dominate each other. The consequences of understanding the judgments, we must read Revelations 5:1-8:1. There will always be seven judgments each era when humanity doesn’t repent by the rise of a wicked leader, war, pestilence and famine, Death and the curse of Hell, the martyrdom of his righteous, destruction of the unrighteous and revival, and Silence and calm.
Finally, natural laws are the authority of humankind over all creation (Genesis 1:26). This law shows humanity what we lost after the fall in the garden of Eden—in addition to this law allowing a man to rule animals. It shows the wonder of nature and how nature praises its Creator ( Romans 1:20), and how we don’t know if we are wicked.
Bringing the sinfulness of humankind under the curse and all that operate them. The purpose of the devil’s mission is to put humanity under natural laws (the law of sin and death). He wants to keep you carnal, natural, and lost in the wilderness. It doesn’t matter what position of the natural laws you can successfully operate in to get richer. You are still in poverty. Remember, it is all natural!
Therefore, Christ has redeemed us from working under the curse of the natural laws and how humanity keeps operating under them. Suppose we use the natural laws instead of being in the spiritual laws of Christ. We become the enemy of the kingdom of God because to be carnally minded is death. Bring us into the household of faith instead being under the household of Moses. Paying the wages of sin, the payment for working under the law, is death.145 We need to be the household of faith by operating in the spiritual laws of Christ. In addition to serving in these principles, we become the house of prayer he designed us to be.
Christ as a son over his own house, whose house, are we?146 We must decide humanity either stay in the house of the natural laws or be brought out from under the house of Moses’ natural laws (principle) into the very presence of Abba by the spiritual laws of Christ. If we stay in Moses’ house, then you will have to pay high rent for staying in that house. Because you are under the law.147
Some of you rebel with a cause and may be saying to yourself, like the Jews and Pharisees said, “We are of Abraham, who is our father.”148 However, it is another father we are working for and getting paid for our many deeds. You rebel, maybe saying, “I’m not working under any man’s law, and much less any of God’s laws made by some old dud name Moses!”
Well then, my friend, you’re in worse shape because you’re homeless, naked, and a foolish blind person. The transgression of the wicked said within their hearts that there is no fear of God before his eyes.
Matthew Henry said, “as one employed in serving the interest of God’s kingdom among men more immediately and eminently than any other in his day.”149
Humankind can’t say in its heart that God is just some undigested bit of beef that disagrees with our internal organs and that we can get a ‘Rolaids’ to make us feel better. Henry further said:
“The wicked, whether he means his persecutors in particular, or all notorious gross sinners in general, are not certain. But we have sin in its causes and sin in its colors, in its root and its branches.”150
The natural laws will remind humankind that they must pay the rent on earth because “…the earth is the Lord’s….” Simply, the wages of our sinful nature are separation or suffering in death. ‘Death’ means the state of a being, whether human, animal, or vegetable, but more particularly, human and animal.
Where there is a total and permanent cessation of all vital functions stopping, when organs haven’t only ceased to act, but the being has lost the susceptibility either of renewed and growth in actions, separation, or alienation of the body and soul from the presents of God. A being under the dominion of sin, and the person is destitute of grace, or the divine life of God, is called being spiritually dead.151
“For he said to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”152
You’re on the outside of the house getting rained on by the wrath of God. Humankind is just waiting on death. You see, the ones under the natural laws are very sick, and they want to get well, fighting death, but they can’t because they’re too weak. Now your silly thinking reminds me that you resist the calling of God. You must repent like the sand crab standing in the middle of the street with its claws up. Daring the oncoming truck coming toward it, it gets run over as the truck approaches it.
Now being foolish is not fearing when the landlord is about to evict you from the apartment [your body] renting from him. Your lack of fear still doesn’t change that he has served you an eviction notice and dumped your stupid tail outside withal your stuff. The same is true in dealing with Almighty God. The fact that you don’t fear him never changes the truth about your day at the Great White Throne Judgment.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”153
The truth be known, all who sin are under the law that states: “Let no man say when he is tempted, ‘I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempted he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.”154
So, the “devil made me do it” or “I was born that way” maybe true, but you have free will, as stated in previous chapters. Remember, our free will is God-given nature; the will is an organ of the soul. And our will should rebel when it doesn’t align with what we choose for God and our best interest.
“And whatever sins good men may themselves to be provoked to by their exercises and afflictions, God is not the cause of them.”155
This rule is the law of sin and death. Six other supernatural (spiritual) laws will be discussed in this book. Moreover, these seven spiritual laws will be explained in completion, all found in the Bible. Let’s discuss some of these principles as we walk through this by faith.
