Am I responsible?

What makes a good leader?

I am responsible. When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of AA to always be there. And for that: I am responsible. I lately have seen that this statement is becoming untrue. This statement becomes true in this woke, canceled culture society. I am irresponsible! When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I won’t give my hand of myself to my fellow human to always be there. And for that: I am irresponsible.

I have noticed that racism isn’t our problem because we no longer judge a man or a woman based on the color of their skin. as it was once said:

“Judge a man not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character.”

— Martin Luther King Jr.

A leader measures someone not by the size of their feet but by their daily steps. I do judge, everyone does, but it’s just a very short ruler I use when measuring. I will judge you based on the fruit of the Spirit. Not the works of your flesh.

But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence, temperance). Against such things, there is no law [that can bring a charge]. Galatian 5:21-22 AMPC

Paul the Apostle

A person of self-control or temperance is the virtue of one who masters his desires and passions, especially his sensual appetites. When the metal is hot, one should hammer with God’s word.

I am a wordsmith rather than a blacksmith. I use words to reach people, not to beat them into submission. I have an extensive vocabulary, so I use my words to bring a human into a cause for thought. Not just an argument for retreating into isolation. I aim to teach others to think and become better men and women. No matter what we think or believe.

God’s job is to make you and shape you into the leader you are called to be one day. I am only a tool in the master’s hand. Whether an anvil, hammer, clamp, or cutter. I’m but his instrument.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

John Stuart Mill

I am responsible for speaking when God props me to give my hand to help all men and women. My tongue and pen are but a ready writer. I am Michael Tsaphah for the Chronicle.
